Latest update

Hi All, haven’t written much on my blog lately. Been busy with software development.

Trying to focus on the Android development. It is good to be back in the Java environment but frustrating that Android has left some rather good libs from the standard Java lib. A few workarounds needed.

Software Development

This is the software development crypt in our office. Here is where I do most of the software development. I use Java, C, PHP, MySQL, Objective-C, Javascript and AJAX for almost all my projects. The server platform is LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) and I have used Linux since 1995 when I installed my first Red Hat Linux. Although I have been using Unix System V from AT&T Bell Laboratories since 1987 when I worked as a System Engineer for Olivetti Italy and got my TCP/IP training. It was fashinating to telnet via ARPA-Net/SUnET (Internet predecessor) to the east coast of the USA and login to a unix machine on the other side of the pond. That was in 1988. Wow! Time flies.
